PRRA 2008 News Letter has Arrived Our new format is now a downloadable pdf document.
Catch the Cooper On Saturday 5/31 members of the competitive team made the pilgrimage to Camden to compete in one of the first regattas of the season on the Cooper River. The event was hosted by the Cooper River Rowing Association. The team was able to get a first hand look at their new boathouse recently completed. With about 6 boat bays, training room and Banquet facilities it was quite something. Clemens started the team off with a win in the Mens Masters "C" 1x, followed by Jeff and Tony taking a first place in the Mens Masters "E/F " catagory. Helen and Denise smoked the field in the womens masters " B" 2x for their first place of the year. Sue and Gail placed 4th in the womens "D/E/F " 2x. Charlie, Ben, Bill and Rainer placed 5th in the Mens " C' 4x. Helen, Denise, Sue and Gail combined to race the womens "C' 4x to a 3rd place finish. The mens masters 8+ finished off our day with a 2nd place, that boat was composed of Bill, Rainer, Taiju, Jeff, Clemens, Charlie, Ben, Tony.with Jenny in the coxswain seat.
